Every season brings transformation. The sun comes out, and flowers grow, bringing life to the dreary world. Now that we are a third of the way through 2024, I’m similarly entering a brand new season at Stacy Savage Photography. So I would love nothing more than to bring you along with me. I’ve been experiencing some wonderful big life changes, and I cannot wait to share some of the things I’m excited about launching.
One of the biggest changes is a personal blog where I can share some helpful tips as well as some of my favorite things. If you are currently planning major events such as a wedding or a graduation, keep your eyes on this Stacy Savage Photography space for my best of series. Here, you will find links to helpful referrals, such as the best venues and event planners. I will also be around Instagram, providing you with weekly posts and telling you all the things I’m looking forward to this year. Want to find out more about what’s been happening? Then keep reading!
Checking in On The Past Year
Personal Updates
So, what’s been happening with me lately? Well, 2023 has been a complete whirlwind of a year. After my baby graduated high school last spring, my family decided it was time to make the move to Knoxville, Tennessee, where both of my sons are now attending the University of Tennessee (go Volunteers!). While we have a new home base for SSP, I’ve still been traveling back to Wrightsville Beach for business and the holidays. It feels almost like we have two homes now!
It has been a long two years, but we finally found the opportunity to restart our annual vacation tradition. Of course, this meant spending a little time at the most magical place on Earth: Disney! We also ran our annual half-marathon. While you already know how much I love running, I was able to convince my husband and sons to join, making it even more fun this time around!
Stacy Savage Photography Updates
Business has never been better! I have loved getting to revisit Wrightsville Beach and doing long-form sessions that have helped families create new memories in a space that has been so meaningful for my own. I have gotten to work at some of my favorite venues, such as Station 2, Slate & Cypress, River Landing, and The River Room. This year, I also got to try out some new locations that I loved, including the Wedgefield Country Club.
What’s Coming Up in 2024 For Stacy Savage Photography
Personal Updates
So far this year, I have been getting back into the swing of things by returning to beloved activities such as half-marathon training. I have also been relearning Spanish, and I couldn’t be more excited!
Business Updates
One of the best parts of being a photographer is always getting to check out some new-to-me venues so I can tell my clients all about them! This year, I am thrilled to check out Haywood Hall as well as The Holy Name of Jesus Cathedral. I get to capture a beautifully rustic mountain wedding in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, before traveling back to the coast for a boho chic wedding at Luxury Lodgings by Laura Ocean Isle, followed by a sophisticated country wedding at Adaumont Farm in Trinity, North Carolina.
Those who have been here for a while know that I am constantly trying to find new ways to learn more about this art so I can bring you a better client experience. In 2024, I will be traveling to multiple conferences and workshops. I am especially looking forward to the Rising Tide Asheville retreat as well as Imaging USA, a conference where I get to spend time with thousands of photographers from across the globe.
I have been working hard on my submissions for my Certified Professional Photographer Degree, which is due on November 24th. The degree features a lot of technical and precision work, which is ideal for a perfectionist like myself. With this experience, I will be able to bring even more excellence to my sessions. Speaking of accomplishments, I was named Wedding Wire’s Couples’ Choice Winner! I am
ecstatic to see what new opportunities this brings!
New Stacy Savage Photography Services in 2024
Art Prints
I created several new services this year, including art prints. This one is particularly meaningful for me. When I was a child, I would spend hours combing through pictures with my grandfather and drawing inspiration from industrial leaders such as Getty and National Geographic. With these art prints, you will be able to have heirloom-quality, professionally captured prints of my landscape and street photography. I hope the images of these locations bring you as much joy as they have brought me!
College Grads
Lastly, I have decided to expand my college offerings. You will now be able to book sorority and
fraternity packages at the University of Tennessee. I can’t wait to help you tell the story of these
formative college years!
That’s A Wrap For Now With Stacy Savage Photography
Well, that’s everything for now at Stacy Savage Photography! So, I hope you stick around and see all the changes that are about to come to this space. I have been anticipating all the transformations this year and am thrilled to share them with you. Above all, I hope this year brings you as much joy as it has already brought me.
